$1.30 support: XRP holds its ground as Ripple teams up with Arf to bring RLUSD settlement liquidity to XRPL

  • $1.30 support held after Thursday’s steep sell-off. With bulls defending that level, XRP is looking towards a near-term rebound.
  • A partnership between Ripple and Arf will introduce RLUSD-powered settlement liquidity to the XRP Ledger.
  • The 50-day, 100-day and 200-day EMAs continue to constrain XRP’s upside, restricting the scope for a recovery.

$1.30 remains Ripple’s (XRP) recently confirmed support on Friday. The remittance token is holding near that level as bulls seek a short-term rebound towards $1.40. Structural resistance continues to limit gains, leaving any recovery dependent on buyers’ ability to maintain momentum. Should the daily close fall below $1.30, it could confirm the bearish outlook and increase the likelihood of a prolonged decline towards the psychological demand area at $1.12.

RLUSD settlement liquidity: Ripple and Arf team up

Licensed cross-border merchants on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) are set to gain access to stablecoin settlement liquidity through a strategic partnership announced by Ripple and Arf on Thursday. In its press release, Arf said PayFi could address the liquidity challenges facing cross-border payment companies. Its financial infrastructure is built around treasury, foreign exchange, custody, investment products and real-time settlements. Using both fiat currencies and stablecoins, PayFi covers settlement liquidity, working capital financing and treasury management.

By combining Arf’s regulated infrastructure with the XRPL blockchain, the partnership provides cross-border payment companies with short-term working capital that is both deployed and repaid on-chain.

Arf Co-founder and CEO Ali Erhat Nalbant said in the press release: “Through this partnership with Ripple, we’re bringing stablecoin working capital to the XRP Ledger to help payment companies bridge that gap and support more payment volume,”

As cross-border transactions clear, Arf’s short-term settlement liquidity is typically repaid within one to five days. This allows capital to be efficiently redeployed into continuing real-world payment flows.

$1.30 support holds: XRP technical analysis

At $1.32, XRP remains below its key Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs), leaving the near-term outlook bearish. Overhead resistance comes from the 100-day EMA at $1.34, the 50-day EMA at $1.37 and the 200-day EMA at $1.38. Together, these levels suggest recent rebounds are still contained within a broader corrective phase.

Buying interest appears subdued, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) near 42. Meanwhile, the SuperTrend indicator at $1.47 strengthens the dominant resistance band above the current price. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator remains slightly negative. Its below-zero readings underline the continued weakness in momentum.

Daily XRP/USDT chart

The first resistance level is the 100-day EMA around $1.34. Further hurdles lie close together at the 50-day EMA of $1.37 and the 200-day EMA of $1.38, where sellers could try to regain control during a rebound. Beyond these levels sits the SuperTrend line at $1.47. A more distant structural barrier is formed by the downward resistance trend line, with a notable reference at its break price near $1.61 and its origin zone around $1.70.

With no clearly defined moving-average or trend-line support on the daily chart, the recent low around $1.30 serves as a tentative floor. A decisive move below $1.32 would therefore leave XRP vulnerable to further losses before a stronger demand zone comes into play.

Ripple: key questions answered

Specialising in cross-border remittances, payments company Ripple uses blockchain technology to deliver its services. Ripple Labs Inc. created RippleNet, a payment transfer network available to financial institutions around the world. The company also uses the XRP token.

The decentralised XRPLedger blockchain has XRP as its native token. Ripple Labs uses it to enable transactions on XRPLedger, allowing financial institutions to transfer value across borders. By supporting trustless, instant payments on the XRPLedger chain, XRP helps financial firms reduce the cost of global transactions.

Built on distributed ledger technology and blockchain, XRPLedger uses XRP to power transactions. Unlike other blockchains, it incorporates an inflammatory protocol designed to help counter spam and distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks. A peer-to-peer network called the global XRP Ledger community maintains XRPL.

The interledger standard used by XRP is a blockchain protocol that supports payments between different networks. XRP’s blockchain can, for example, link the ledgers of two or more banks, effectively eliminating intermediaries and the need for centralisation within the system. Jed McCaleb, Arthur Britto and David Schwartz engineered the XRPLedger blockchain, for which XRP serves as the native token.
