Cardano recovery constrained by mixed sentiment

Weakening conditions and caution are evident in Cardano derivatives data. On Tuesday, CoinGlass’ ADA long-to-short ratio stands at 0.75, close to its lowest reading in over a month. Below one, the ratio signals bearish sentiment as traders position for a decline in Cardano prices.

By contrast, funding rates for Cardano turned positive on Tuesday, reaching 0.0071%. Long positions are therefore paying short positions, pointing to a mildly bullish outlook.

On-chain indicators signal caution

A cautious picture emerges from CryptoQuant’s summary data. Large whale orders are present in ADA’s spot and futures markets, alongside overheating conditions and dominant selling activity. Together, these signals indicate a cautious, bearish bias among Cardano traders.

Cardano technical outlook: Selling pressure prevails

$0.188 is Cardano’s trading price on Tuesday. Its decline continues well beneath the short- and medium-term Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs), maintaining a bearish near-term bias.

The former rising support trendline has given way and now acts as resistance at $0.218. Overhead supply is reinforced by the 100-day and 50-day EMAs, at $0.215 and 0.216 respectively.

Near 30, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) points to emerging oversold conditions. However, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is still slightly negative. Downside pressure therefore retains the upper hand, even as momentum fades.

The first resistance zone lies around $0.215–$0.218, where the 100-day EMA, 50-day EMA and reclaimed uptrend line converge. Further barriers stand at $0.236 and near $0.239, the location of the 200-day EMA. Should a stronger corrective rebound develop, horizontal resistance at $0.245 and $0.299 would become relevant.

For downside support, the horizontal level at $0.155 is the key area to monitor. A more clearly defined demand zone could form there if the current bearish move continues.
