Organic sales growth of 7%, ahead of market expectations by 259 basis points, helped underpin Coca-Cola’s quarterly results, with improved margins also lifting earnings per share above forecasts. Following the release, UBS retained its Buy rating and increased its share price target from $104 to $106. Coca-Cola also upgraded its fiscal 2026 outlook for organic sales growth beyond the previous range, while raising its guidance for adjusted earnings per share.
More demanding comparisons for unit case volumes, adverse currency and structural effects, and intensifying inflationary pressures could make 2027 a more challenging year, UBS noted. Nevertheless, the bank considers Coca-Cola capable of growing net income, an ability lacking at many companies in the sector. The valuation looks expensive, but clear visibility over revenue and earnings warrants a premium to historical levels. Confidence in the durability of Coca-Cola’s long-term organic sales growth model offers further support for that premium.

For the third quarter of 2026, Coca-Cola’s adjusted earnings per share reached $0.91 on revenue of $13.4 billion, putting both measures above Wall Street forecasts. Alongside 7% growth in organic revenue and a 5% increase in unit case volume, the company recorded higher gross and operating margins.
The figures were well received by several financial institutions. Strong pricing power and sustained organic sales growth underpinned Morgan Stanley’s decision to raise its price target to $103. At TD Cowen, a higher target of $104 reflected a solid third-quarter performance, notably an 11% increase in comparable earnings per share. Wells Fargo’s target rose to $100, with the bank pointing to strength across multiple measures over the year, including approximately 4.5% growth in unit case volume.
Gains in global value share extended to 22 consecutive quarters, Coca-Cola said, while demand across regions remained resilient. Management attributed balanced growth in volume, pricing and product mix to the contribution of both affordable offerings and premium products. Although consumer demand differed between regions, the developments illustrate the breadth of strength across Coca-Cola’s global system.
