A modest rebound is under way in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Ripple (XRP) on Friday, following the previous day’s correction and test of their key support zone. Support remains intact at BTC’s 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA), ETH’s 100-day EMA and XRP’s horizontal floor near $1.300. For these top three cryptocurrencies, holding this critical support zone would point to a recovery, while a decisive close beneath these levels would signal a deeper correction.

A mildly bullish near-term outlook persists for Bitcoin despite its recent consolidation, with Friday’s price of $81,856 remaining above the short- and medium-term Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs). An underlying positive trend is indicated by the 50-day EMA at $80,878, the 100-day EMA at $77,528 and the 200-day EMA at $76,186, all of which lie below the price. However, the Relative Strength Index (RSI), at around 47, points towards neutral conditions. With the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) still slightly negative, upward momentum has yet to become fully convincing.
The horizontal level near $85,000 presents the first resistance on the upside, as supply previously seen there could limit further gains.
Should prices decline, the first support lies at the 50-day EMA of $80,878. Further down, structural demand near the 100-day EMA at $77,528 and the 200-day EMA at $76,186 would be expected to draw buyers during a broader pullback within the ongoing uptrend.

The near-term outlook for Ethereum remains positive, with Friday’s price of $2,409 above the 100-day and 200-day EMAs that support the broader uptrend. Following a retreat from its late-February highs, ETH is now finding stability just above nearby horizontal support around $2,400.
As the market absorbs earlier gains, muted momentum suggests any upward moves may be gradual: the RSI is near 41, while the MACD remains below zero.
For an advance, the first obstacle is the 50-day EMA around $2,475. A decisive daily close beyond it would clear the path towards the next significant resistance, the horizontal level near $2,770.
If prices retreat, demand first comes into play around $2,400. A more significant support cluster lies below, comprising the reclaimed trendline region and the 100-day and 200-day EMAs between roughly $2,365 and $2,316. Losing this zone would undermine the bullish structure and leave room for further declines towards horizontal support at $1,823.

A bearish near-term outlook continues to weigh on XRP, which trades at $1.320 on Friday. The price remains below the 100-day, 50-day and 200-day EMAs, grouped between roughly $1.336 and $1.373.
With this alignment, the broader downtrend appears to be restricting rallies, and an RSI reading of 42 leaves momentum mildly negative. Although recent selling has eased, the MACD remains just below zero, indicating continued downward pressure.
Any recovery would first encounter the 100-day EMA around $1.336. Beyond that lies a closely packed resistance zone comprising the 50-day EMA at $1.371 and the 200-day EMA at $1.373. Stronger resistance follows at the horizontal levels of $1.540 and then $1.900.
A daily close beneath the immediate horizontal support near $1.300 would likely pave the way for a deeper decline. Conversely, easing the prevailing bearish tone would require a sustained recovery above the EMA cluster.

Demand and adoption among market participants are influenced by token launches. When an asset is listed on crypto exchanges, its liquidity increases and new participants join its network. These developments are generally positive for the digital asset’s price.
In a hack, an attacker uses exploits, bugs or other methods to seize a large volume of an asset from a DeFi bridge, an exchange’s hot wallet or another crypto platform. After moving the tokens out of the exchange platforms, the attacker ultimately sells them or swaps them for other cryptocurrencies or stablecoins. Widespread panic often follows such incidents, triggering a sell-off in the affected assets.
The direct effect on the US Dollar is the main channel through which macroeconomic events, including the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate decisions, influence crypto assets. Higher interest rates generally weigh on Bitcoin and altcoin prices, while lower rates tend to have the opposite effect. A decline in the US Dollar index makes risk assets and the associated leverage used for trading cheaper, thereby pushing crypto prices upwards.
By cutting miners’ block rewards in half, halvings restrict the asset’s supply and are therefore generally viewed as bullish events. With demand unchanged, a reduction in supply raises the asset’s price.
