Buyers are targeting 0.8300 as USD/CHF trades at 0.8282, extending its recovery from last Friday’s monthly low of 0.8191. Tuesday’s modest rise of 0.09% puts the pair on course for its third consecutive day of gains.

The sequence of higher highs and higher lows remains intact, signalling an upward trend in USD/CHF. Monday’s move above the October 23 high of 0.8256 confirmed last week’s ‘bullish engulfing’ candlestick pattern and reinforced the continuation of the uptrend.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicates that momentum has shifted in favour of buyers. Together, the RSI and price action suggest that the path of least resistance for USD/CHF remains to the upside.
Attention first turns to 0.8300. If the pair breaks above this level, the October 15 high of 0.8354 would come into focus, ahead of the October 14 swing high at 0.8395. Beyond that, the next levels are 0.8400 and the May 12, 2025 high of 0.8476.
Should USD/CHF reverse lower, Monday’s low at 0.8232 would provide the initial support. Further down, the 50-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) stands at 0.8202, ahead of 0.8200. A break below that zone would open the way to the 100-day SMA at 0.8143.
